Webinar:  A Virtual Tour and Resource Exploration of the TR Inaugural Site

In collaboration with the Niagara Frontier Council for the Social Studies and the TR Inaugural Site (TRS), NYSCSS presents an opportunity for educators to take an abridged virtual tour of the famous landmark where President Theodore Roosevelt took the oath of office in Buffalo, New York on September 14, 1901.  Join us as we explore the fascinating history of 641 Delaware Avenue in Buffalo New York -- a building that's been an army barracks, a private residence, the place where one of the most significant events in our nation's history took place, a restaurant, an abandoned building, and now a National Park Service site.

During the hour-long webinar, participants will:

  • Receive a keynote welcome message from Stanton Hudson Jr., Executive Director
  • Engage in an abridged virtual tour of the TRS
  • Explore NYS Framework aligned educator resources that feature TRS sources

This webinar is FREE for members of the NYSCSS/NYS4A.
